Reblade is growing and we are looking for experienced, driven individuals to join our team. We are now welcoming applications for a Project Manager, leading the delivery of specialist consultancy and strategic end-of-life advisory to wind farm owner-operators.
Reblade specialises in windfarm decommissioning and blade waste innovation, offering owner-operators turnkey solutions for fleet decommissioning, repowering strategies, and the sustainable processing of composite blade material. As the UK’s onshore wind fleet ages and major utilities face complex end-of-life decisions, Reblade is positioned at the forefront of a rapidly maturing sector. About the Position
The primary objective of this role is to act as a knowledgeable project leader and advisor to utilities and IPPs (Independent Power Producers), guiding them through the complex transition from operational assets to circular decommissioning or repowering. You will drive Reblade’s "expert technical advisory" workstream, authoring high-impact strategic documentation, leading site feasibility studies, and maintaining senior client relationships from initial engagement through to regulatory consent.

Project Manager (Wind Farm Decommissioning & Strategic Consultancy)
Location: Reblade is a Glasgow-based business and office-based working is welcome. However, we will also consider hybrid and home-based working. Travel will be required.
Contract: This is a full-time, permanent position.
Salary: Competitive / Negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Decommissioning & Repowering Strategy
- Lead the development of technically rigorous Decommissioning and Restoration Plans (DRPs) for ageing assets, ensuring full alignment with statutory requirements and client objectives.
- Conduct technical assessments for "megawatt optimisation," authoring detailed repowering roadmaps to help clients evaluate whether to extend, repurpose, or replace ageing turbines.
2. Strategic Consultancy & Technical Audits
- Lead decommissioning feasibility studies and technical site audits for major owner-operators.
- Deliver comprehensive Circular Material & Reuse Impact Reports, quantifying waste diverted from landfill through Reblade’s circular pathways.
3. Stakeholder & Regulatory Liaison
- Act as the lead consultant for planning and environmental compliance, coordinating directly with statutory bodies to secure necessary consents for site works.
4. Account & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary technical and project point of contact for strategic accounts, navigating corporate procurement environments and operational site teams with equal confidence.
5. Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with Reblade’s operations and R&D teams to identify high-value reuse pathways (including BladeBoard®) during active decommissioning projects.
Experience & Qualifications
Wind farm decommissioning and circular end-of-life management is an emerging specialism. We value the transferable quality of your skills and project delivery track record as much as sector-specific credentials.
Essential:
- Experience: 5+ years in wind farm development, O&M, heavy civil/infrastructure decommissioning, or environmental restoration within the UK renewables or adjacent heavy sectors.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, client budgets, complex deliverables, and external specialist sub-consultants.
- Technical & Regulatory: Practical experience authoring technical site strategies, DRPs, or equivalent regulatory submissions for statutory body approval.
- Communication: Exceptional client-facing skills with experience managing senior corporate stakeholders.
Licence: Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Deep understanding of turbine life cycles, material waste streams (especially thermoset composites), and Scottish/UK consenting frameworks.
- Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional Chartership or membership (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM, APM).
